Hi - in this video I’m going to share with you the remaining 5 things you can do with your LinkedIn profile to make it more appealing to contacts who visit it. If you missed my earlier video, please go back and watch it.

Okay, down to business ….

If your profile is used as an online CV, consider adding media to your job descriptions. Slide presentations, videos, pdf’s all help to make your profile stand out from the average.

Next, ask previous colleagues or contacts for recommendations. A word to the wise, don’t reciprocate directly on a 1:1 basis, recruiters and clients can see through this strategy.No - better to say you’ll recommend one of 2 mutual contacts and they can do the same.

Now you’ve done all you can with your profile (for now), use LinkedIn to engage with potential clients, or, if you are career-changing, possible new employers. Here are 3 things you can do to engage.

Create engaging articles or content and post to your timeline at least once a month.

Along with your own content, share others’ content at least weekly, so long as it’s relevant to your business, industry or interests.

And lastly; join and participate in relevant groups. Networking is so important for your business, after all it’s one of the main reasons LinkedIn exists. So make the most of it.
