As you may have heard "the money is in the list", so I wanted to share numerous ways you could capture email leads via your WordPress website.

Of course many of these website lead generation best practices can be implemented without the need of the WordPress platform but for some it will be a lot easier to add yourself if your business website is built with WordPress.

In this video, Part II of III, we'll take a look at lead generation ideas 6-10. You can read about all 15 already by visiting #6 (0:44) - Make good use of white space.

Don't slam your website with a bunch of copy and pictures. Make it easy for your visitor to read and view by allowing plenty of white space for them to move along your pages without feeling overwhelmed.

Tactic #7 (2:07) - Make sure your website loads FAST!

Your website hosting will play a big part in your page load speeds so make sure you are using a reliable host such as Namecheap or Cloudways. Also don't overload your WordPress website with unneccessary plugins. Only add the ones you are actually using. Another thing that has a major impact on how fast your website loads are images. Use a plugin like Imagify or a compression website such as Compressor.io to reduce your image sizes without losing their quality.

Tactic #8 (3:29) - Make sure your website is mobile friendly.

Most WordPress themes are responsive or mobile friendly but you will want to make sure all of your site's elements are properly resized on mobile devices. More than half your website visitors will view it on their mobile device so using the proper theme and/or WordPress landing page plugin will make your job a lot easier. Thrive Themes and Thrive Architect have this in mind and do a lot of the heavy lifting for you #9 (4:26) - Add a call-to-action to your top menu navigation links.

Some WordPress themes and page builders allow you to highlight a menu item and link it to a specific url of your choice. This is your chance to catch your website visitor's eyes and direct them to a specific offer or opt-in.

Tactic #10 (5:21) - Speaking of call-to-action, make sure yours actually speak to your visitors.

Gone are the days of using generic "Sign-Up" or "Join" call-to-actions. Make them "attractive" and an actual solution to the problem your visitors are facing.
